Curodont is a topical gel treatment built around a self-assembling peptide technology (P11-4). When applied to an eligible area of early tooth decay, the peptide diffuses into the porous enamel lesion and forms a scaffold that supports the deposition of calcium and phosphate — minerals involved in the natural remineralization of enamel.
Because Curodont supports the tooth's natural remineralization process rather than mechanically removing tooth structure, it offers a conservative option for appropriately selected early lesions. It does not replace missing tooth structure the way a filling does, which is why early diagnosis and proper case selection matter so much.
